The 75th Anniversary year kicked off with a Law Follies inspired gala show, held at the Isabel Bader Theatre on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Led to the stage by a marching band of students from U of T’s Faculty of Music, Faculty of Law alumnus, the Hon. Robert “Bob” Rae (LLB 1977) was our host and emcee, elevating the evening with his humour and quick wit (photo by Alice Xue Photography).
Fun fact: the late Canadian diplomat Saul F. Rae, Bob’s father, used to produce and direct “UC Follies” at U of T’s University College in the 1930s.
All former deans still with us took part in a hilarious sketch: Each dean read a letter left by their predecessor. It was a memorable scene and one of the highlights of the night.

The holiday season brought an opportunity to welcome law school alumni, their children, staff, faculty and students to Varsity Arena for a skating party. Nearly 60 students enjoyed hot chocolate and sweet treats while skating to holiday tunes under a mirror ball! (photo by staff)
On January 21, 2025, past recipients of the Dean’s Cecil A. Wright Key gathered for a reunion at the home of President Meric Gertler.
