We are getting through the COVID-19 pandemic together – thank you.
Over a weekend in March, the Faculty of Law transitioned from all in-person classes to online learning with only 48 hours notice. This change, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, meant all in-person student activities and alumni events have also been postponed until further notice.
Yet we came together as a community to enrich the student experience, celebrate milestones and to learn something new.
In the spring, alumni and faculty tweeted messages of support to U of T Law students facing the added challenge of remote examinations.
Once again, the U of T Law community met online this past June to celebrate our graduating class, future leaders in the legal field, with a virtual reception. More than 30 notable alumni sent their well wishes to the JD Class of 2020 (PDF) welcoming students into the alumni community.
As a way to give back and thank our alumni for their passionate support, the Faculty hosted six #UofTLawOnline talks, with a total attendance of 1,295 over early months of the pandemic, to enlighten, engage and entertain.
And this Nov. 6, we'll reminisce with this year's honoured class years (0 and 5) at a virtual Alumni Reunion. Reunion is an important milestone for alumni and the Faculty. We are looking forward to connecting.
